Tucked within the historic red soils of Zimbabwe’s Raffingora region—a corridor with a rich, forgotten coffee heritage—Zvizegwe Farm is reviving specialty coffee by challenging conventional agronomy. Rather than taking shortcuts with random seeds, we began our journey through the surgical precision of elite clonal cuttings, nurturing direct genetic twins of high-performing Arabica stock in our organic nursery to build resilient, deep-root architecture.
Our crops are fueled by a closed-loop organic protocol featuring our own recycled cherry pulp, potassium-rich waste from our banana plantation, and our signature nitrogen-dense “Rabbit Brew.” Bypassing mechanical stripping entirely, every cherry in our inaugural micro-lot harvest was hand-selected at peak Brix sugar levels to lock in maximum sweetness and complex acidity. Today, that inaugural yield rests silently on elevated drying tables, undergoing a meticulous parchment cure as we let nature finish its masterpiece—bringing a bold new era of Zimbabwean specialty coffee from our soil to your cup.

Everything we grow is 100% organic — no synthetic pesticides, no chemical fertilisers, no growth accelerants. Our organic certification journey is built on closed-loop, regenerative farming. Our rabbits produce a nutrient-rich manure that we ferment into Rabbit Brew — a natural liquid fertilizer that feeds our banana plantation. Banana waste, in turn, becomes bedding and forage. Nothing leaves the system as waste.
This lets us skip synthetic pesticides, protect our watershed, and produce food with a taste and nutrient density that industrial agriculture simply can’t match.
Organic soil health is the whole strategy: composted banana biomass, organic mulch cover, natural pest predators and organically brewed nutrition mean every banana, papaya, lemon, macadamia nut and cut of organic goat and rabbit meat leaves Raffingora chemical-free.
